Gary L. Modjeska

Gary Modjeska has extensive broad based commercial real estate experience developed during a thirty year career focused on the development, repositioning, and marketing of commercial real estate in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Principal of AREA Properties since 2004, Gary provides brokerage, consulting, property management, and development

services for AREA projects and select clients.  

 

From 2000 - 2004 Gary managed Washington region commercial sales and leasing for the nation’s then-largest developer of master planned communities, Terrabrook, and its successor Newland Communities, completing transactions totaling over $450 million in the Northern Virginia planned developments of Reston Town Center and Broadlands.

 

Between 1984 and 2000 Gary was co-principal of The Midland Companies, an entrepreneurial real estate development firm in Washington, DC, where he was responsible for entitlement, development, and marketing activities for a wide array of projects: three Greenbelt, MD office buildings; a planned residential land development in St. Michaels, MD; industrial/business parks in Ashburn and Richmond, VA;  a residential townhouse development in Warrenton, VA;  an office condominium development in Washington, DC;  and neighborhood retail centers in Alexandria, VA and Bethesda, MD.

 

Gary began his real estate career in commercial brokerage at Weaver Brothers, Inc.  He is a graduate of the University of Maryland and a licensed broker in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.    


Robert D. Allnutt

 

 

Bob has been active in the Washington, DC, area commercial real estate industry for over thirty-five years, with a broad scope of experience including marketing and leasing, acquisitions, entitlement, development and tenant representation.  Since founding AREA in 1994, Bob has provided brokerage and consulting services for select clients, in addition to participating in development activities for AREA projects.  Tenant representation has been a major portion of Bob’s activity, spanning multiple product types including office, medical, industrial and retail.

 

Prior to starting AREA, he spent eight years as Vice President at Boston Properties where he was responsible for the development, marketing, and leasing of suburban office, R&D, and industrial projects, completing over 2.4 million square feet of office space with an aggregate value of approximately $275 million.

   

Bob began his real estate career in commercial brokerage at Weaver Brothers, Inc., in 1981.  He earned an undergraduate from Virginia Tech and MBA from the George Washington University.  Bob is a licensed real estate broker in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.
